Some compelling hallucinogenic imagery. the movie uses william hurt's inherent iciness and detachment well in its early stages. thought-provoking but the romanticism at its conclusion, while perhaps philosophically sound, really felt cheap and unrealistic given the hurt character as he had progressed to that point.
