Review of Altered (2014) by Keith C — 31 Mar 2007
Altered in an interesting film dealing with aliens and the sci-fi genre. The story is extremely well acted and well directed.
The film starts with three backwater hicks hunting down a species that is never quite clear until five to ten minutes into the film and then it gets interesting. The film takes strange twists and works on every level.
The cast is mostly unheard of except Michael C Williams who was in a little film called 'Blair Witch Project' as was the director.
This film is well worth a watch and it's a crying shame that this did not get a very large theatrical release because it does something very films of this ilk does these days. It grips you from the beginning, great acting and spectacular special effects compared to the budget. If you are into horror sci-fi, I suggest you look for this gem of a film. Excellent.
