Instead of a film about humans kidnapped by aliens, this is a film about an alien kidnapped by humans in revenge for being kidnapped by aliens. It is a portrait of utter desperation and is perfectly executed.
The alien is a perfect monster, as well living up to the stereotype of being a 'little green man'. I could watch this film again and again!
