âAll that s*** about you and aliens was true huh?

This could have been a great little independent sci-fi/horror film if it had elaborated more on things. But instead itâ(TM)s just a boring movie with a few good scenes.

Plot: Fifteen years ago, five dim witted friends were abducted by aliens in the wilderness of Florida. For days the aliens preformed horrific experiments them. But one of the friends didnâ(TM)t come back. Now, years later the survivors havenâ(TM)t gotten over the terrible event that changed their lives forever. Things are only made worse when three of them capture one of the aliens and take it to the other friendâ(TM)s house to get revenge, but the other aliens are after them and will stop at nothing to get their comrade back. Not only do the friends have to deal with the aliens but also each other.

From the co-creator of the Blair Witch Project comes a horror/sci-fi that is pretty boring for the most part yet still has some pretty good scary moments. The dialogue is so poorly written itâ(TM)s almost funny. Filled with constant expletives.The aliens look like the common âlittle green menâ? that most associate with aliens but with a twist. These guys have long, sharp claws and a mouth full of razor sharp teeth and are especially brutal. But it is more than obvious that itâ(TM)s just a guy in a rubber suit. Still it was interesting to learn about the alienâ(TM)s biology and how they communicated. The biggest problem I have with it is that it never goes into much detail about the horrific abduction and what the friends went through. Only a few lines of dialogue are devoted to what happened and it isnâ(TM)t very clear. I think I would have cared a lot more about them if it been shown or elaborated more on. It would have been nice if it had more depth in other areas as well. At the end there are many questions left unanswered; What was really the aliens true intention? I find it hard to imagine that they would travel over vast distances of space just to mess with us. Why were they so interested in the main character, Wyatt and why were they afraid of him? I have to say the climax and the ending are very clichà (C). Weâ(TM)ve seen it too many times. It also seems like the ending was quickly and cheaply put together. But I did like the fact that the characters werenâ(TM)t completely paper thin. There is some depth to them, but still not enough to where I actually cared for them. All in all there are far worse alien abduction movies out there but still this isnâ(TM)t one Iâ(TM)d recommend. Total Score: 4.2/10.
