The deconstruction of the superhero has been done before and there is little original that can be done with it at this point. Supers who are just like you but in spandex appeared here, as they have elsewhere.
Supers as selfish jerks appeared here, as they have elsewhere. It flirted with something a little different, a character who treated his super and mundane identities as different people but seems to drop it when he gets his act together.
It also has an annoying running gag about what the "F" on Fridge's suit means.
