Review of Alpha Dog (2006) by Manal S — 20 Jun 2009
When you give some kids unconditional power, money and freedom, that's what you get... recklessness and foolishness that lead to tragedy! Although this one is labelled as a crime movie, it's not really about the underworld of gangsters and drug dealers; the sentiments and emotions overtake the crime.
It is, as Bruce Willis said at the very beginning of the movie, about parents unconsciously pushing their kids to the edge. Ben Foster was brilliant as the maniac junkie Jake Mazursky. Surprisingly enough, Timberlake and Hirsch pulled it off really good as well.
