Review of Alpha Dog (2006) by Dean K — 23 Aug 2009
This is a brilliant film about a very tragic true story. The tragedy lies in the murder of an innocent 15 year old boy who was used as a bargaining chip between rival drug dealers. One crazy yob addict owes money to a dealer and it is his brother who is cruelly murdered.
The brilliance of the film is the gritty realism and the quality of the acting from the whole cast. There are many moments of excess and foul language not to mention some disturbing violence and disgusting behaviour.
