Review of Alpha Dog (2006) by Mad M — 17 Nov 2009
Justin Timberlake is wonderful although too good-looking and kind to accurately portray Frankie. Ben Foster, Anton Yelchin, and Sharon Stone are also quite good in this film. The actors are great, but the problem lies with the director who is far too sympathetic of the characters, casting them as charismatic pretty boys when in real life, they were awkward and inept, which is why they were so easily intimidated.
Jesse James should have been played by a short little dwarf of a man because that's what he was and would have displayed his Napoleon complex. But, the opening scene features Justin Timberlake lifting weights with no shirt on so, that makes it 5 stars.
:P.
