Review of Alpha Dog (2006) by Andrew M — 29 Mar 2010
This film made me sick to my stomach. The moral battle Frankie (Timberlake) is fighting within himself combined with the sudden realizations of Zach (Yelchin) toward the end of the movie just ripped me apart.
Timerblake and Yelchin's performances were so real; it was surprising and impressive. Emile Hirsch is the person I expected to really show up in this, but for some reason I didn't really feel his presense.
His character is so impersonal that I couldn't care less if he were there or not, but of course he was necessary for the plotline. I think it was really worth at least the one-time watch. If not for everything else, to see Olivia Wilde nude.
