Alpha Dog is a modern look into the drug world and has some scenes going for it, but most are overly violent without much purpose (probably realistic in this world) but just for the sake of shock factor and the script is cliched and bland.
It is fast paced and will keep you entertained if you can handle the violence and language but there isn't much substance here to chew on.
