Review of Along Came Polly (2004) by Ryan G — 28 Dec 2009
Here is the perfect example of a comedy film that just isn;t funny (unless you count that damn blind ferret, which, I admit, is an exemption). This film felt confused, as if it wasn't exactly sure what it wanted to be.
The leads are just not mixing, neither do a bad job, but there is silmply no chemistry. Phillip Semour Hoffman faired better as the obese friend who just wants to be Jesus. Some of the humor was just sick and unfunny (now I can be a fan of sick humor, if it is funny! - example: The Scary Movies).
This film failed on many levels. 1.5/4 stars.
