Seriously, I've seen way worse movies who got a lot better ratings.
I was actually less bored by Alone in the Dark that I've been when watching the latest Indiana Jones.
So yes, acting is not great, he is almost never 'Alone', the back story of Carnby is no more strange or incoherent than in the games (Don't forget that NONE of the games has been written by the same team, and we are going from the haunted manor in the 1920's to the ghost western city, to central park in 2008).
So yeah, not a great movie, but definitely not a IMDB bottom list or a one star 'Uwe Sucks'.
