Review of Alone in Berlin (2016) by Tom E — 13 Jun 2018
Well made film. Interesting take on a lesser known form of personal anarchy in a zero "free speech" Nazi Germany. While it deals with issues that should trigger intense emotions, I felt the filmmaker/director could have improved upon the affecting aspects of the story.
While I was left wanting to feel more somehow, Gleeson and Thompson are nevertheless *excellent* in their roles.
