True to its stock, this movie embodies rock 'n roll. Worry-free, "let's deflower the boy" kind of rock 'n roll. Coming of age is not a primitive rite of passage in this film, where drugs, women, and fame cloud even the best judgements.
The irony is that it is a refreshing take on old, old ideas, even though this takes place during the "death of rock.".
