Review of Almost Famous (2000) by Dave A — 20 Jul 2015
Cameron Crowe's unvarnished look at what Rock 'n' Roll had become after The Beatles and Woodstock and before fragmenting into subgenres is epic. Unfortunately, it leaves a sour aftertaste, like waking up with a hangover and cottonmouth.
The all-star ensemble cast delivers great performances. The parts are better than the whole, though.
