Review of Almost Famous (2000) by Xcv V — 19 Dec 2010
Almost Famous is kind of reached god like status as being the penultimate of a Rodie Movie.
In all honesty I can't blame it, at the age of 10 I saw like 30 mins of it and I was totally hooked on it, sadly my musical taste would not develop for another 3 years, as well as another 2 years until I managed to see it fully.
I don't know how to sum up the movie, but I can definatley say that it gives off "i would love to have been there" effect, and by using fantasic camera movements as well as some deep character development you soughta end up seeing the world through the kids eyes and become even more drawn into the movie... Man! what great film making!.
Final Verdict: One of those movies (made ironically in 2000) as a farewell tribute to the classic bands and overall touring, Almost Famous ends up becoming strong clever cinematic poetry.
