Review of Almost Famous (2000) by Logan V — 27 Feb 2011

"Almost Famous" is one of the best movies in the last 10-15 years. It's really good. It takes itself seriously, as it should, but at the same time, it wants to be fun and entertaining to watch, and it is! The dialogue is great, the acting is superb, and it has a very compelling story. If you don't know the story, I'll sum it up quickly. This movie is about a 15 year old trying to become a journalist so he goes on the road with an up and coming band,while writing an article for "Rolling Stone." It's really a feel-good movie. Kate Hudson and the star, Billy Crudup, do a superb job portraying their characters! Oh and did I mention this is based on a true story..? Well it is. Anyway, the soundtrack is amazing! Great great great soundtrack! This movie is a must-see to anyone who loves music or just wants to watch a 2 hour movie and feel like it was well worth their time. I highly reccommend!

P.S. Look out for Jimmy Fallon, Rainn Wilson, and a super quick appearance by Eric Stonestreet(of "Modern Family").
