A sure contender for my film of the year, "Allied" is sensational from start to finish and is certainly one of those "they don't make em like that" any more films.
It's an old fashioned rip roaring spy thriller set during World War 2 and boasts great performances from both of its stars. It's beautifully shot with clever use of CGI when needed and the production values are top notch. Robert Zemekis, famous for "Back to the Future" "Forrest Gump" and "Castaway" amongst others is clearly back at his A game here as this is a well paced exciting and downright enjoyable piece of entertainment. Go see it.
