Allied is a failed story, and that is one of the worse crimes in my book. The story was based on plot points and not character. Cotillard's character is given places to be and things to do that do not seem credible and right.

The woman who does a commando action with Pitt in the beginning is trapped in a web of spies. In the time it would not have happened and is based on people not sharing the truth of themselves. Compare with Casablanca, as many have. In that movie everyone, even the extras leak authenticity. Pitt and Cotillard are working with a bad script, what can they do. Pitt looks wooden and stiff. If I were you, do not see it.
