Review of Allied (2016) by George X — 28 Feb 2017
A thriller slow-burner that pins Brad Pitt against his wife (Marion Cotillard) after he is told she is a German spy. This film was decent. It kept me interested especially after the plot turn. Marion Cotillard is so good and carries the film.
Brad Pitt wasn't bad, he's a bit of a hit or a miss for me in some of his films and this was in the middle. It takes awhile to get rolling to the actual story but it had to have a decent build up for the story itself.
Zemeckis usually tries his best at making an Oscar worthy film, unfortunately Allied came up just a bit short, but it is still a good film I think many could enjoy.
