(spoilers included). First, I'd like to say that out of all 3 books in the Divergent series, Allegiant was my least favorite because Veronica Roth changed her writing style only for the third book.

I didn't like that Tris died at the end, but I came to accept it after some tears. So, to the movie. The first part was true to the book, and was about the aftermath of the factions' downfall, and how the next ruling group lets chaos reign.

So Tris, Four, Caleb, and a few others escape and try to find a way to save Chicago. The trek through the desert is very boring, and after a while, it is obvious that someone is coming for them, but it isn't a jumpscare (that would have been cool), but instead Caleb basically tells them that something is coming.

And they outrun a 4-wheeler. Yeah. That's realistic. And they run to this place in the middle of the wasteland, and somehow know exactly where to go, despite having no directions whatsoever. Anyway.

They get to this place, and the movie continues, mostly accurately. Later, Tris is back in Chicago, going into a place to stop the evil plan of this one guy, and I was waiting. Waiting for her to die.

Like she was supposed to. And she never did. I was so disappointed. She didn't die. Typical Hollywood, I guess. Always have to have a happy ending. Probably the worst movie I have ever watched in my life.

So disappointing.
