Review of Allegiant (2016) by Jake P — 23 Mar 2016
So only a few Old Geezers Who Go To The Matinee Alone showed up and were easily out numbered by teenage girls and that sort of figures. The studio billed this as 'the best' of the Divergent series and having set such a low bar they still failed to clear it.
Some of the CGI was interesting hence the two stars instead of one. The story here is incoherent, the dialogue is crappy, and the acting? well there isn't enough to really tell. I really wanted to leave about an hour in but I stuck it out.
So there's $8.50 and two hours I'll never see again. There remains one more in this dirge; I guess they are sticking with the formula of ripping off the Hunger Games to the bitter end. Not much reason to see this in my opinion, but go if you must.
