Review of All the Right Moves (1983) by Nicole L — 20 Apr 2008
A highschool movie from the early 80's and boy it's not dated well. Cruise wants to get out of the steel working town and make something of himself through his talent to play football. This movie has been done to death and there's nothing delightful here, not even Cruise or Thompson.
At the end of the day, it is what it is, an also ran highschool drama with little thought or inspiration to lift it from the doldrums. See "October Sky" with Jake Gyllenhaal if you want to see a something heartfelt and uplifting.
