Review of All the Real Girls (2003) by David B — 06 Jul 2007
Probably the best ensemble acting i've ever seen in a movie. The story and dialogue are terrifically raw and so convincing that it takes you out of the awareness that you are watching a film. I also liked the duality of the painful/realistic script with the beauty of the cinematography, which I thought was a nice little icing to the cake, showing there are moments of beauty in real life- vignettes that Green captures perfectly.
This film pays so close attention to detail that it gives the workshopped and improvised feel that I am always a sucker for, fans of Shortbus and Garden State I think will love this movie.
