Review of All the Real Girls (2003) by Robby R — 15 Aug 2007
Yeah, no. Ooooh, it shows real moments in a relationship between two young and stupid people blah di blah. The plot is boring. It did not keep my attention. The music it is set to is not appropriate and lulls you to sleep.
I will say, however, that outside of the plot the film is visually stimulating. It artistically captures the shatters of time and transitions into and out of them through the use of midwestern scenery that is simply stunning. I would not call it "impressionistic" as the synopsis states; it reminds me of the true, gritty and beautiful photography that is currently popular in the high art world right now.
Boring plot, superior actors, sexy as hell Zooey Deschanhel and beautiful editing.
