Review of All the Real Girls (2003) by Van R — 25 Jun 2008
Zooey Deschanel shows how powerful and adorable and incredible she can be as a film actress. Indeed, she IS the movie. Director David Gordon Green, who also penned the screenplay, has a flair for writing real, humanistic, and painfully honest dialogue, characters, and situations.
However, how does Paul Schneider keep getting all the playboy, leading man heartbreaker roles? Certainly someone else could play it better and make it more believable. But it's Zooey's film, she'll break your heart (only if you like independent films such as this one).
