Review of All the Real Girls (2003) by Jeremiah L — 16 Aug 2008
I was caught off guard and touched by the direct, objective narrative that didn't manipulate and provoke me into commiserating with one character and/or vilifying another. I attribute the lasting affect of the film to its refrain from editorializing and leaving me free to sort it out for myself - to find my own personal truth beyond the wisdom and philosophy articulated by the characters.
While not overtly didactic in nature, this is the sort of tempered film that works well as an entertainment and a teaching tool.
