Review of All the Real Girls (2003) by David K — 06 Jan 2009
Exploring the male's relationship with women, "All the Real Girls" is a complex but poetic film from David Gordon Green. Probably my favorite of the director's, it is the movie's simplicity that makes it so meaningful and special.
Every line of dialogue and narration isn't necessarily meaningful in nature, but in the context of the film, speaks volumes. "All the Real Girls" is an artistic film that doesn't fully explain every one of its motives, but with that, it requires and intentive and thoughtful viewer.
One who can reflect and take solace in the beauty presented in both sound and visuals. To say I love "All the Real Girls" would ultimately be an understatement. It's a film I find very personal, and one I would recommend to anyone.
