Review of All the Real Girls (2003) by Hannah S — 30 Aug 2009
Strangely unconventional, with a narrative that runs more like a stream of consciousness than a regular progression. In some ways this works in its dreamy approach to the central relationship but it also lacks an anchor for the overall story.
Characters and their timeframes are never quite clear with some interesting plot threads (namely those of Shea Whigham) frustratingly left unresolved. It is well acted and directed however, and thus works better as an interest piece to see where certain now-larger talents began.
