Accusations that this film are dated are totally overlooking the fact that this is one of the films great strengths. The look and style of the film are that of a classic seventies thriller and so it should be.
That the director can make two reporters taking loads of notes and making loads of phone calls so intense is a credit to him and it doesn't hurt that the two leads Dustin Hoffman and Robert Redford are cracking actors at the top of the game.
Anyone put of by the labyrinthian plot and in-depth study of the American Government can simply give up trying to follow whats going on and enjoy it for what it is. A classic.
