An excellent example in pacing, characterization and buildup. Goldman's script is amazingly smart in its approach to the Watergate affair, Pakula's filmmaking is timeless and Hoffman and Redford make for an interesting, albeit uncanny, team.
Some of the best work of the nineteen seventies.
