Review of All the President's Men (1976) by Lucy S — 17 Jun 2008
This is a surprisingly engaging conspiracy film considering that no one gets killed and everyone knows how it's going to end. Jason Robards had some great lines (and delivered them well). I also thought Hoffman's performance was pitch perfect.
The cinematography is wretched and I have to admit to liking the teletypewriter sequences better than Redford's acting, but those criticisms aside the film does keep you engaged for 138 minutes and that's something for a "newspaper thriller.
