Alan Pakula crafted an absolute masterpiece with All the President's Men. The sense of immediacy captured in part due to the fact that the actual events transpired only a couple of years prior. There is not a weak link in this ensemble.
Jason Robards, Dustin Hoffman, Hal Holbrook (channeling his inner Mark Felt) and Redford are firing on all cylinders.
