It's always fascinating to see something that happened in reality translated on the screen, and aside from a few tense moments, one gets the feeling that what actually happened was much more procedural than what is shown, and the film occasionally shows its strain in trying to make up for that.
Fortunately, some excellent acting and a superb script help the story deftly maneuver through these few boring patches which I blame more on uninspired direction than anything else.
