Everybody knows the story, or at least knows the outcomeof the story and the accomplisment of this film is keeping you nervously glued to the screen to see what happens. Redford and Hoffman give outstanding performances as the reporters who uncovered all the secret depths of Watergate when everyone thought it was an open and shut and case.
Hal Holbrook as the mysterious, "Deep Throat" lives up to his character's mystique, and the rest of the supporting cast as reporters and witnesses keep the film strong. Though slow, this journalism drama is incredibly well written and intense.
