Review of All the President's Men (1976) by Matt D — 09 Jan 2010
What can I say about this film. Yes a lot of people will find this boring as it does take a while to really get going but once it does it is phenomenal. I have to say that there isn't a part of this film where I am bored. The captivating performances of Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman added to the incredible direction of Alan Pakula are what make this such a fantastic film. It is incredibly unbelievable that this lost out on best picture at the Oscars to Rocky and that Redford or Hoffman didn't even get a Oscar nomination when Stallone did! The on screen chemistry between Redford and Hoffman is fantastic, the first scene they share together is brilliant.
I might go watch it again now.
