A near-perfect drama/conspiracy thriller. We know the outcome from history, and yet the writer and the filmmakers do such a good job of making the journey to that conclusion as intense and thoroughly enjoyable as possible with rich characters and a perfectly-paced story.
As well, the cinematography and set design are both expert. I was ready to appreciate it, but I didn't expect to enjoy it as much I did. It was quite riveting. Hoffman, in the seventies and eighties, was untouchable.
