Review of All the President's Men (1976) by Jonny P — 04 Jul 2010
Ive never been so gripped by a series of interviews and phone calls, The acting is superb and the script keeps it grounded in reality (easy given that its a true story) but still makes it very entertaining.
the only downside is that at the very end the resolution is a type written fact that Nixon resigned, wouldn't it have been greater to see Bernstein and Woodward revel in their hard fought journalistic success? even a little "woo" as the story was finally published in the Washington Post without them being killed as deep throat suggests? Maybe? I guess we'll never know.
Oh well it's a great film regardless.
