Review of All the President's Men (1976) by Mike G — 21 Aug 2010
Even if William Goldman still bitches to this day about "script meddling" from Redford, Bernstein and Pakula, it's still a remarkable film with an enormous amount of detail about the Watergate break-in and how it grew into a scandal of presidential proportions.
The acting is pretty top notch, Pakula also manages to keep it moving cinematically given the vast amount of information disseminated. I hear they still show it to student journalists, and well they should.
It was a huge story that grew out of almost nothing. Multiple viewings recommended.
