Review of All the President's Men (1976) by Nathan H — 09 Nov 2012
Certainly an interesting subject matter with a good script and excellent acting. The problem is that the directing of the movie fails to create the tension that should be building over the course of the movie.
Now this is just personal preference, but it is my belief that proper music helps to set the tone for a movie, but in this instance the director chose to have almost no music. And most of the music that was used seemed a bit off.
A small compliant, but I felt it had a huge effect on the movie. Plus, I felt that it ended somewhat abruptly. Choosing when to end this story I'm sure was difficult, but it seemed to stop at the height of it's drama.
Still, it is entertaining and, more importantly, very imformative.
