This movie is a rough one to grade. Yes, it's good but there are things missing from it. We see Sean Penn as the innocent man who only wants to do good and then we see him as corrupt. We never actually see the descent, which lessens from the movie's quality.

Then there's the fact that Jude Law is the real main character who halfway through the movie is revealed to be in love with Kate Winslet whose brother Mark Ruffalo seems to have something wrong with him, but which is never actually explained.

Oh, and we're supposed to care about Anthony Hopkins and Jude Law's "touching" relationship. Yeah. Just give us more Jackie Earle Haley and Patricia Clarkson please.
