Review of All That Heaven Allows (1955) by Maria U — 20 Oct 2011
This is a beautiful movie that needs to be watched within the context of the time that it was made, which also includes its melodamatic film technique. But it is a timeless story. When personal behavior does not adjust to set rules, they trigger social prejudices that lead to harsh judgment, marginalization and social exclusion.
