Review of All Quiet on the Western Front (1930) by Ben B — 12 Jul 2008

This film was an incredibly ambitious project for its time, and it flew high with flying colors! it is so ahead of its time in terms of filmmaking, and is also surprisingly impacting and hard-hitting, especially for a film from 1930.

and the battle scenes were some of the grandest and most realistic combat scenes ever filmed. this is just an outstanding film, no question about it. war is hell.
