Review of All Quiet on the Western Front (1930) by Joe L — 07 Dec 2008
I've seen this film several times now, and the final moment is so perfectly executed, so hauntingly beautiful, sad, and tragic, that it reduces me to tears every time. the performances are heartfelt and earnest - the entire picture is imbued with fierce purpose, to have us understand what happened, and why it cannot, and should not happen again.
