Review of All Quiet on the Western Front (1930) by Paul D — 01 Nov 2010
Simply brilliant for 1930 - an anti-war film of great strength just 12 years after the conflict it depicts ended. The battle scenes feel realistic, but the main focus is on the traumatic emotions these cause to the young innocent group.
The effects are portrayed with great feeling.
