Review of All Over the Guy (2001) by Sara B — 12 Nov 2008
Thanks to The IFC Channel I was introduced to this great contemporary romantic comedy from 2001. This movie was just a fab feel good movie. I actually watched it twice because IFC repeated it later in the day.
Dan Bucatinsky, who played one of the main characters, Eli Wyckoff, also wrote this movie. Richard Ruccolo, from TV's "Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place", played the other main character...yuuummmmy! Sasha Alexander (Dawson's Creek, NCIS) and Adam Goldberg, who I actually liked in this flick, rounded out the four main characters.
Christina Ricci, Lisa Kudrow and Doris Roberts all make enjoyable cameos.
Some great music on this soundtrack including "Please Forgive Me" by David Gray, which I've totally loved for a long time and "Bring You Back" by Peter Stuart, one of my new favourites, absolutely!
I recommend you rent this if you have not seen it and are looking for a good romantic comedy to give you hope and the warm fuzzies!
