Review of All Is Lost (2013) by James D — 11 Feb 2014
Might be one of the only films I've seen where there is only one person in the entire movie. Redford is that one person, a man lost at sea with a sailboat sinking, and he running out of resources. His performance is good, I don't think anyone else could've pull it off, and if it was anyone else I probably would've turned it off.
I think he says a total of 5 different words throughout, so don't expect dialogue, at all. But it is a good survival story that will keep you interested, what remains to be solved though is if he survives or not.
I won't give it away what I think happened, but it's up in the air. 3/5 JD.
