Review of All Is Lost (2013) by Drew W — 24 Jun 2014
With only a heartfelt letter in a bottle read in the opening sequence, All is Lost relies on Redford's performance. Redford single-handedly takes the helm and delivers. Older, grizzled, wise, the way he is able to keep our attention and portray the character is incredible.
Redford proves once again what a powerful and mature actor he has become. We watch as he keeps holding onto hope, having a quiet optimism about him even when everything is going dreadfully wrong. This is Gravity on water.
