Review of All Is Lost (2013) by Mayank A — 25 Sep 2014

This survival movie has only actor for the whole 1hr 45 minutes - Robert Redford and he does great showcasing survival at sea by a lone sailor. Some of the ideas at survival are brilliant and the ending quite emotional.

It's an excellent movie with realistic look but at the same time it's dull at many times. The lack of dialogues and one man cast does get boring although the haunting background score does ease the problem.

It's experimental cinema at its best but not an entertainer.
