Review of All Is Lost (2013) by Anthony I — 15 Jun 2015
Reminded me a lot of Cast Away, except not as cliched or predictable. It's the longest film under 2 hours, ever. It's plays out in real time... or so it seems. To that effect, it's a very hard watch.
But there is so much to talk about, and so much to praise about this ambitious classic. It proves that a good movie doesn't need a wordy script. Actions speak louder than words, as they say. Robert Redford gives a harrowing performance, as this lone, silent, survivor of the sea.
I'd never want to be put in his situation, I'll tell you that much.
